Unlock and delete blocked files the easy way

Deleting a file from your computer may not be as easy as it seems. Sometimes you get an error message telling you that the file is being used by another application and can't be erased. What's the solution then?

The solution is called Unlocker Portable: a simple tool that lets you get rid of those stubborn files that can't be deleted in the standard way. Unlocker Portable is dead easy to use, though a bit different from the desktop version. Being a portable version, this app is not embedded with Windows Explorer. So instead of right clicking the locked file, you have to select it from the program itself.

You'll be able to choose between deleting the file, renaming it and copying or moving it to another location. If the selected task can't be completed immediately, it'll be finished the next time you restart the computer.

Unlocker Portable doesn’t have any other options or configuration settings. It's meant to do just one thing, but does it really well. If you often have problems with locked files, this is the tool you're looking for.

With Unlocker you'll be able to delete those stubborn files that are blocked by other apps or processes.

  • No installation required
  • Very easy to use
  • Does what it says on the tin

  • No other options

seems to work well. Not much reporting on bad sectors that I can see, though.

a glaring fault in this program and documentation.
Once you use the portable app, you can not move it, or it ceases to work on your system.>You can copy it to another directory, but again, if you move the original folder it and all copies cease to work.
therefore it is not really portable. There is also nothing about this in the reviews or documentation. So what to do if you started it out on your desktop and want to relocate it?This problem makes many users give up and switch to File Asassin.Anyone have a solution?
    Works well.
Can't move it. so it is not particularly portable.
    Poor documentation. More
